Molly McCartney, MSW, LGSW Molly is a graduate from the Master's of Social Work program at West Virginia University where she also earned an undergraduate degree in Agricultural Extension Education. She is a trained trauma therapist and has experience working with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Dissociative Disorders. Part of her interest in trauma therapy was developed through the past seven years of studying the history and global impact of past and current genocides, as well as the individual impact that survivors experience. Currently, she enjoys incorporating art therapy techniques within sessions with clients of all ages and also frequently uses play therapy while working with children. She one day looks forward to the opportunity of being able to include animal-assisted therapy into treatment as well. Molly is a lifelong resident of West Virginia where she owns a small horse farm, complete with dogs and barn cats, within her family community. |
